BIM tools for everyone
In construction projects BIM is considered to be a collaborative process. Collaboration works best if it is open and transparent. We believe that making BIM tools accessible to everyone increases collaboration dramatically and breaks down silos over organization boundaries.
According to many studies BIM results in cost and time savings in construction projects. Also it is very common that project budgets and schedules are overrun. We believe that an open source BIM tool lowers the threshold to start using BIM and get those benefits which will improve the construction investment economy.

BIM + GIS together
Infrastructure projects are typically long, geographically large and data is in real world coordinates. These are typical characteristics of GIS information and a lot of infrastructure project data is actually GIS data, in addition to detailed infrastructure BIM models. We believe that in infrastructure projects BIM and GIS needs to be integrated and managed together.

Based on OGC and buildingSMART standards
We believe in open standards. Therefore our solution is based on OGC (Open Geographical Consortium) 3D Tiles standard, which allows managing huge datasets in smaller parts (tiles) that can be easily streamed to browser for viewing by needs basis. This way the client device limited resources are best used and the user experience is smooth and fast even with mobile devices.
We support all open data formats and standards like IFC, LandXML, CityGML and GML. These standards are developed by international standardization organization like OGC and buildingSMART and are already widely used in construction.
Efficient Web3D technology
To make BIM tools best accessible to everyone we believe the solution needs to be based on cloud and browsers technology. We use the best open source web3d technology Cesium in our solution to stream and display BIM and GIS data in a browser based application. Cesium is well proven and widely used especially in GIS and city model data. We will expand its usage into BIM and infrastructure projects.
Hybrid BIM models
Hybrid BIM models combine city information models (CityGML), building information models (IFC) and infrastructure information models (LandMXL / IFC Infra). Hybrid approach is needed especially in area planning and infrastructure projects in heavily built urban areas. We believe all BIM disciplines should be managed inside one single solution.
Built from best open source components
We have chosen the best available open source components which we will integrate into a fully functional BIM + GIS solution. 3D Tiles technology allows management of almost unlimited datasets. Cesium allows dynamic loading and rendering 3D Tiles on browsers with many basic tools already inside. Open BIM servers can manage BIM, GIS and CityModel datasets. In addition to these we will develop add-on tools and UI customizations to fullfill BIM usage needs.
